Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Senior Food Scientist II/I to develop and commercialize poultry products and processes. The role spans bench to full-scale production, including writing specifications, performing cost analyses, and ensuring food safety and labeling compliance.

You will work with marketing, FSQA, operations and purchasing to drive new product development and optimization while guiding cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include BS/MS/PhD in Food Science, Meat Science, Food Engineering or related field.
• Minimum years of relevant R&D experience are specified by degree level in the posting.
• Experience with poultry/meat product development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize poultry products and processes under manager guidance.
• Write product specifications and ensure regulatory labeling and food safety compliance.
• Develop culinary samples, prototypes, and cost analyses for new products.
• Lead cook validation studies across products, lines, and fryer platforms.
• Collaborate with marketing, insights, sales, culinary, FSQA, operations and purchasing.
