Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a production line worker to operate a moving conveyor, spread or style product by hand, and assist with packing and weighing to keep pace with each product’s designated rate.

You will participate as a team member, follow established operating systems, maintain safety and quality standards, and be ready to rotate between packer, scaler, styler and grader as needed; you must lift up to 55 pounds and work in a cold, wet environment.

Qualifications

• Move, push or pull up to 55 pounds on the line.
• Operate a moving conveyor belt with both hands.
• Inspect, grade and remove product not meeting standards.
• Follow company operating systems and LEAN practices.

Responsibilities

• Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands. Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt.
• Performs multiple types of packing and weighing.
• Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades and removes product that does not meet standards.
• Participates as a member of the Team and supports cohesiveness and policy implementation.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
