Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Loader Operator to load and unload cages from trailers at our poultry facilities in Arkansas. You will operate a diesel forklift or Moffett, moving cages with care to minimize damage to birds and equipment, while keeping to the kill schedule.

As a member of the team, you will follow Simmons’ operating systems, participate in safety and continuous improvement programs, wear PPE, and perform routine maintenance on equipment. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience with large moving equipment.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a company issued forklift license.
• Preference for poultry or food processing experience.
• Military experience welcome to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cages from trailers using a diesel forklift.
• Operate a front-end loader or Moffett as required.
• Monitor loaded birds to prevent bruising or mortality.
• Maintain production requirements as per kill schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and check fluid levels.
• Foster teamwork and follow Simmons Operating Systems; participate in safety programs.
• Wear PPE and adhere to safety protocols.
