Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised, self-motivated.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Check main chill water meter at start of shift.
• Ensure chillers and transfer pumps are on and piping is correct.
• Monitor chiller overflow and perform scheduled control checks.
• Verify chiller setup per procedures and monitor bird temps exiting chiller.
• Conduct HACCP temperature checks every 30 minutes and post-chill checks hourly.
• Monitor water levels; notify supervisor if levels drop or temps rise.
• Know water replacement procedures in case of fecal failure on chiller.
