Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a Hatchery Operations Manager to lead all hatchery activities, ensuring chick quality, production, and timely delivery.

You will plan production, manage spending and capital projects, and control labor costs while upholding animal welfare regulations. Strong IT, math, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Animal, Poultry Science or related field.
• 3+ years hatchery leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding animal welfare.
• Excellent technology, computer and math skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment within a hatchery utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Subject to dusty and hot environments.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Frequently stand 8+ hours.
• Regularly exposed to heat conditions of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
