Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a Hatchery Operations Leader to manage all hatchery operations, ensuring chick quality, production, and delivery. You will plan production, control labor costs, and oversee maintenance, supply spend, and vaccination programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Animal or Poultry Science with 3+ years of leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent tech, math, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in Animal, Poultry Science or related field.
• 3+ years poultry hatchery leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding animal welfare.
• Excellent technology, computer and math skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment within a hatchery utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Subject to dusty and hot environments.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Frequently stand 8+ hours.
• Regularly exposed to heat conditions of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
