Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Broiler Service Technician to support flock health, welfare, and performance in our poultry operations. You will guide growers, manage biosecurity, and ensure adherence to company standards while coordinating feed and chick movements.

We seek a candidate with a BS in Poultry Science (or relevant experience) and strong communication and leadership abilities. A valid driver’s license and proficiency in MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
• Current driver’s license and good driving record.
• 2–5 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and leadership skills; quick learner of company protocols and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Pilgrim’s and contract growers, ensuring strong communication and support.
• Monitor flock health and husbandry practices, providing recommendations to improve bird welfare and performance.
• Track, record, and analyze flock data, including mortality rates, feed consumption, and growth trends.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate feed orders to ensure timely and accurate supply.
• Ensure biosecurity and company protocol compliance, conducting regular farm inspections and reporting issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training to growers and staff, supporting best practices and operational efficiency.
• Assist with chick placements and bird movements, scheduling according to company standards.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on flock performance, feed usage, and farm conditions to management.
• Other duties as assigned.
