Tyson Foods, Inc. in Temperanceville, VA is seeking a Broiler Tech Advisor I on 1st shift to provide technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds. You will advise on building and equipment specifications, litter management, and farm sanitation while documenting bird comfort and health.

Travel to farms is expected (1–5 trips/year). The role requires a bachelor’s degree preferred and 1+ year of related experience; basic computer skills and strong coordination with Hatchery,

Competenze

• Education: bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years in related work.
• Computer skills: basic level (email, templates, simple queries).
• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
• Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.

Mansioni

• Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.
• Visit farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor health, and provide remedies.
• Monitor feed consumption and coordinate ordering as needed.
• Coordinate chick placements to farms; assist with catch schedules.
• Ensure communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul to optimize contract farms.
• Ensure adherence to USDA regulations and other poultry handling guidelines.
