Job summary

Tyson Foods, Robards, KY is seeking a Tech Advisor Broiler I to support growers with bird comfort, housing and equipment settings, sanitation and welfare. This role involves field visits, data collection, and coordinating with Hatchery, Feed Mill and Live Haul to optimize flock performance.

You will document farm conditions, monitor health, assist with chick placements, and ensure compliance with USDA regulations. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written form.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks (email, data entry, simple queries).
• Travel 1–5 trips per year; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management and farm sanitation.
• Visit farms to document bird comfort, monitor health, and adjust flock and equipment settings.
• Monitor feed consumption and ordering; coordinate chick placements to farms.
• Assist with catch schedules and communicate across Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Live Haul teams.
• Ensure compliance with production contracts and USDA regulations.
