Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a poultry field advisor to support producers in caring for company birds, ensuring bird comfort, proper sanitation, and efficient operations across farms in the region.

The role requires robust communication, travel to contract farms, and adherence to USDA regulations. A bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field is preferred, with 1+ years in poultry or agriculture, and a valid driver’s license. Relocation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years’ experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred.
• Must possess and maintain an active driver’s license.
• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
• Biosecurity: sign a Bio-security agreement and follow Company Animal Welfare Policy.

Responsibilities

• Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management and farm sanitation.
• Visit farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment/lighting settings, monitor health, and provide direction/recommendations.
• Monitor feed consumption and ordering.
• Coordinate chick placements to farms.
• Ensure communication among Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Live Haul departments regarding contract farms.
• Ensure adherence to USDA and other regulations regarding poultry handling.
• Work with Broiler and Breeder Departments on weekly chick placements.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
