Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a technical specialist to support producers caring for our birds, focusing on comfort, health, and operational efficiency. The role involves advising on building and equipment, conducting farm visits, and coordinating chick placements across contract farms.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in animal science or related fields and 1+ years of poultry grow-out experience, with basic computer skills and travel 1–5 trips per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, poultry science, or agricultural related fields preferred.
• 1+ years in poultry with grow-out experience preferred.
• Elementary computer skills: checking email, data entry, creating simple queries.

Responsibilities

• Advise producers on building, equipment specifications, litter manipulation and farm sanitation.
• Visit farms to document bird comfort and equipment settings.
• Monitor bird health and provide remedies when possible.
• Monitor feed consumption and assist with feed ordering.
• Coordinate chick placements and catch schedules; ensure smooth operations.
