Job summary

Aviagen is hiring a Maintenance I associate to maintain poultry facilities, equipment, and infrastructure across our Alabama operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine inspections to ensure safe, efficient production and adherence to safety and biosecurity standards.

Responsibilities include servicing poultry houses, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Maintenance experience in agriculture, farming, poultry, construction, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on poultry houses and agricultural structures.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
Install and repair electrical fixtures, plumbing components, and low-voltage wiring.
Perform routine lubrication, inspections, and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Follow safety policies, LOTO procedures, biosecurity protocols, and animal welfare standards.
Assist with facility improvements, remodeling projects, and seasonal maintenance.
