Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Maintenance I associate to uphold poultry facilities and infrastructure in the United States. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair farm buildings, equipment, and utility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The role requires independence and the ability to handle priorities, with hands-on work across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, and general maintenance in indoor and outdoor farm environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural or poultry maintenance preferred.
• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding basics.
• Knowledge of safety, biosecurity, and asset maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on poultry houses and facilities.
• Inspect and repair equipment, utilities, and structural components.
• Install and service low-voltage systems and lighting.
• Assist with emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and inventory of parts.
