Job summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., seeks a Counter Sales & Warehouse Assistant for our Pittsburg, TX store. You will greet customers, explain features, and help select the right poultry parts and equipment.

You’ll handle in-store and phone inquiries, manage inventory, operate office equipment, and assist with forklift tasks and deliveries to farms. A valid driver's license is required, and forklift certification may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the poultry farming industry preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate a forklift if certified.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to obtain forklift certification and use the forklift regularly.
• Experience with inventory management software and standard office programs.

Responsibilities

• Interact with retail customers in-store and by phone to understand needs.
• Recommend parts and equipment to address customer needs.
• Educate customers on new products and promotions and promote company products.
• Operate cash register, office equipment, and computer systems.
• Assist with inventory, unload stock, shelve goods, and perform cycle counts.
• Join store team to maintain a clean and orderly store.
• Be punctual for all scheduled store hours.
• Take advantage of vendor training and continuously upgrade industry knowledge.
• Occasionally deliver to customers’ farms.
