Job summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., seeks a Counter Sales Representative for our Kokomo, MS retail location. You will inform customers about features and benefits, and help select equipment that meets their needs.

The role involves in-store and phone support, product education, cash handling, and steady adherence to store procedures. Training opportunities and occasional farm deliveries are included in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry equipment and customer service preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift if required.
• Proficient with inventory management and office software.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work with Georgia Poultry retail customers in-store and over the phone to understand their needs.
• Recommend to customers the best parts & equipment available to address their needs.
• Educate customers on new products and promotions and promote Georgia Poultry and Grower Select products.
• Operate office equipment, handle cash transactions, and utilize computer systems.
• Assist with inventory management including unloading stock truck, shelving, and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean and orderly store as part of the team.
• Ensure punctual arrival for all scheduled store hours.
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry and vendors.
• Continually upgrade industry knowledge.
• Occasionally make deliveries to customers' farms.
