Job summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join the Calhoun, KY retail location. The role involves communicating product features to customers and helping them select equipment that best serves their needs.

The Counter Sales/Warehouse Assistant will engage in in-store and phone interactions, promote products, handle cash transactions, and assist with inventory tasks while supporting a team-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry farming industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry operations is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification and use a forklift regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
• At least 1 year in a modern poultry farming operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Georgia Poultry retail customers in-store and by phone to understand needs.
• Recommend the best parts and equipment to address customer needs.
• Educate customers on new products and promotions and promote Georgia Poultry and Grower Select products.
• Operate office equipment, handle cash transactions, and use computer systems.
• Assist with inventory management, unloading stock, shelving, and cycle counts.
• Contribute to a clean, orderly store and reliable team operations.
• Occasionally deliver to customer's farms.
