Job description

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join the team at our Forest, MS retail location. As a Counter Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will include effectively communicating the features and benefits of products in the Georgia Poultry store to customers and assisting them in selecting equipment that best serves their needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Georgia Poultry retail customers, both in-store and over the phone, to understand their needs
• Recommend the best parts & equipment available at Georgia Poultry to address customers' needs
• Educate customers on new products and special promotions, and promote Georgia Poultry and Grower Select products
• Operate office equipment, handle cash transactions, and efficiently use computer operating systems
• Assist with inventory management, including unloading the stock truck with a forklift, shelving product, and performing cycle counts
• Support the store team in maintaining a clean and orderly store
• Arrive at the store on time and ready to work for all scheduled hours
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry and its vendors
• Continuously upgrade industry knowledge
• Occasionally make deliveries to customers' farms

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of the poultry farming industry
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry operations

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
