Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
• Attend to birds and equipment in barn.
• Vaccinates or sprays disinfectants on chickens.
• Lengthens and shortens ropes to adjust level of lights in relation to lighting schedule.
• Moves feed; ventilation, lighting and water to ensure needs of animals are met.
• Removes mortality from barn cages daily by walking and riding barn bikes and recording mortality reports.
• Repairs non-manure and non-electrical equipment; assist with maintenance issues as directed.
• Catches loose birds and returns them to cages while observing density guidelines.
• Cleans animal, feed and waste from floors.
• Follows bio-security guidelines and bird health processes.
• Adhere to GMPs and report any conditions affecting safety or quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
