Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Breeder Operations Manager to direct breeder operations, supervise Breeder Service Techs, and oversee personnel actions including hirings, terminations, and disciplinary measures. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and cost reporting to senior management.

The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and performance metrics, with a base salary in the reported range and eligibility for annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in a directly related field.
• 5 years of directly related experience in poultry grow-out operations.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day breeder operations to ensure hatch egg quantity and quality.
• Implements and monitors pullet/breeder production programs; trains supervisors.
• Provides communication and direction for contract pullet/breeder producers.
• Directs programs for growing broilers for contract producers.
• Monitors development of contract pullet/breeder producers, placements, moves, vaccinations, and sales.
• Provides performance and cost numbers to accounting and upper management.
• Monitors flock health and adherence to testing procedures.
• Monitors and promotes driver safety with all service people.
