Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA seeks a Nurse Manager for the Postpartum Unit to lead a high-acuity, family-centered service line. You will partner with physicians and educators to drive safety, quality, and exceptional patient experiences across a 34-bed unit serving postpartum mothers and newborns.

The role requires a WA RN license, BLS/NRP, and 4+ years postpartum clinical experience, with 2+ years in management preferred. Strong leadership and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in Washington state.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• RNC certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years postpartum clinical experience; Level III NICU desirable.
• Minimum 2 years managerial/postpartum experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day operational leadership for the Postpartum Unit.
• Ensures staffing, scheduling, patient throughput, and resource utilization.
• Maintains regulatory readiness and compliance with policies and standards.
• Leads unit-based initiatives supporting organizational goals.
• Drives unit quality, safety, and patient experience metrics.
• Oversees patient flow, staff development, and service recovery culture.
• Collaborates with obstetricians, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manages budgets and labor/productivity for financial stewardship.
