The RN - PRN Postpartum role provides safe, compassionate postpartum nursing care, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, and supports discharge planning and patient education in a high-quality acute care setting. Ideal candidates are experienced in postpartum care, hold an RN license, and are able to participate in CPI within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years in postpartum care for PRN.
• Current State or compact Nursing license.
• CPI Required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Leads or participates in bedside report to ease anxiety and address important points of care.
