Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina, seeks a PRN postpartum registered nurse to provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns. This role supports the postpartum unit with flexible shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of postpartum experience, a current SC or compact nursing license, and CPI training within 90 days of hire. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years in postpartum care for PRN.
• CPI required within 90 days of hire.
• Current State or compact Nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent postpartum nursing care.
• Coordinate plan of care and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct hourly rounds to improve safety, communication, and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in bedside reports and SBAR handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families while upholding patient-centered care and hospital policies.
