Job summary

A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Emmanuel Zorn’s lab at the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology (CCTI) to study the mechanisms underlying chronic rejection after human kidney transplantation.

The project will leverage well-characterized human transplant specimens and clinical samples to identify biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets that could improve diagnosis and treatment. The selected candidate will work with primary human cells and utilize techniques such as

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Medicine, or related field; postdoc experience preferred with first-author publication.
• Strong experimental skills in human immunology and transplant biology.
• Familiarity with flow cytometry, in vitro immunoassays, gene expression analysis, and isolation/culture of immune cells.

Responsibilities

• Investigate mechanisms underlying chronic rejection after human kidney transplantation.
• Analyze graft-infiltrating immune cells and graft-reactive antibodies in transplant samples.
• Collaborate across CCTI to identify biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets.
