Job summary

Merck is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics to work with a collaborative team on pharmacokinetic modeling and model-based translation across populations.

The role will develop and apply quantitative PK/PD approaches to inform pediatric development and long-acting therapeutics, with close mentorship and integration into the Quantitative Pharmacology group.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or expected by Spring 2027 in a related field such as mathematical biology, statistics/biostatistics, pharmacometrics, or computational biology.
• Experience with PK modeling (popPK or PBPK) and programming in at least one language.
• Strong scientific writing and publication record.

Responsibilities

• Review and curate nonclinical and clinical PK data from publications and internal sources.
• Integrate data to support quantitative model development and translation across populations.
• Develop and qualify PK and translational models for pediatric drug development.
• Evaluate model performance and uncertainty, translating results to recommendations for project teams.
• Present research at conferences or publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
