We seek a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to study normal and impaired hearing in animal models within the lab of Dr. Karolina Charaziak (https://sites.usc.edu/charaziaklab/) at the Keck School of Medicine. The research will involve in vivo electrophysiology, acoustical measurements, and optical imaging techniques (Optical Coherence Tomography) to assess hearing function in small rodents. Dr. Charaziak’s lab is part of a multidisciplinary auditory research group within the Keck School of Medicine.
The annual base salary range is $70,000.08 - $70,000.08. USC considers various factors such as responsibilities, experience, education, skills, internal equity, laws, grant funding, and market conditions when making employment offers.
Start date: Flexible.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in bio/audio engineering, neuroscience, or related fields. Key requirements include experience with electrophysiological recordings, signal processing, and data analysis. Programming experience in MATLAB or Python is preferred but not required. Animal research experience is highly valued but not necessary.
