Overview:

The ME engineer in this role is responsible for Aerospace Mechanical certification, Qualification & Testing activities.

Position: Associate Engineer (P1)

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. 1 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical certification domain.
  2. Working knowledge in Aerospace grade mechanical systems/components, testing, certification & qualification (Interior components, Seats, Galleys, Lighting).
  3. Authoring Qualification/Certification Test Plans/Reports – Structural, Flammability, and Environmental.
  4. Evaluating aircraft equipment BOM to determine applicable qualification/certification requirements.
  5. Understanding of/Experience with regulatory/standard qualification & certification requirements, including:
    • 14 CFR Part 25.561, 25.562, 25.853 and related CFR parts 23, 27 & 29, EASA CS
    • FAA AC 25-17, PS-ANM-25.853-1-R2
    • SAE standards (AS8049, ARP5526, ARP6199)
    • RTCA DO-160
    • Airbus ABD0031, ABD0100 1.2
    • Boeing D6-51377, D6-83466-1, D6-81926
  6. Creating FMEA reports for mechanical components and systems.
  7. Understanding environmental qualification requirements and creating qualification test plans & reports.
  8. Creating similarity reports and performing similarity analysis.
  9. Working knowledge of reliability analysis.
  10. Expert understanding of engineering drawings.
  11. Knowledge of change management (ECN process) and PLM tools (Teamcenter).
  12. Design knowledge of Mechanical systems is a plus.
  13. Familiarity with TSO-C127, TSO-C39 is helpful but not necessary.
  14. Basic Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Aerospace Mechanical Qualification & certification activities.
  • B.E in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
