Job summary

  • Maintain satisfactory annual performance evaluations and continuity of funding for appointment.

Position Description

The Department of ComputerScience seeks to develop a pool of candidates forpostdoctoral scholars (post-doc) positions in ComputerScience. A post-doc is a professional appointment designed to provide recentdoctoral degree recipients with an opportunity to gain experiencesand skills that will advance their careers. A post-doc works underthe supervision and sponsorship of a regular faculty member, whoserves as a mentor to the post-doc, and it is expected that thefaculty sponsor will provide an orientation and development planfor the post-doc, impart the realities and variety of careersavailable to the post-doc, and encourage learning opportunities tobroaden the post-doc's aspirations and experiences.The appointmentinvolves substantial and full-time commitment to research,scholarship, teaching, or other professional activities.Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent uponsatisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period,in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/schoolneed.
