Job summary

The Oregon National Primate Research Center at OHSU seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance NIH-funded studies on molecular mechanisms of abnormal placenta development using assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF. Responsibilities include live animal procedures, cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular bench work, data analysis, manuscript writing, and presenting results; strong writing and verbal communication required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.V.M./Ph.D. required.
• Experience in women’s health and reproductive biology preferred.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular, cellular, and developmental biology experiments (DNA/RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, cell culture, flow cytometry).
• Coordinate non-human primate procedures (blood draws, vaginal swabs, medications, monitoring cycles).
• Maintain up-to-date lab notebooks, update SOPs, generate graphs, perform basic statistics.
• Prepare and present data in meetings; write manuscript drafts; conduct literature searches.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab; manage reagents; ensure safety training compliance.
• Provide mentorship to interns/students and other staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
