Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to perform experiments investigating the role of synonymous codon usage in regulating gene expression and protein structure. The role includes studying molecular and biomedical mechanisms of circadian clocks and using bioinformatics methods to explore translation efficiency in human and viral genes.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and have experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and bioinformatics.

Job description

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER to perform research experiments to investigate the role and mechanism of synonymous codon usage in regulating gene expression and protein structure; and to study the molecular and biomedical mechanism of circadian clocks.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree; have experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetic and bioinformatic methods to uncover the mechanism by which codon usage affects mRNA translation efficiency for human and viral genes.
