The Department of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern Medical Center invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Chuo Chen. The Chen Lab studies the synthesis and design of medically important small molecules. We develop new methods and strategies for natural-product synthesis, and design small molecules that modulate cellular functions. We seek to advance the technologies for small-molecule synthesis and develop new drugs for treating cancer and immune diseases. The successful candidate will lead independent research while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of chemists and biomedical scientists.
A Ph.D. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, biology, or a related discipline.
