Qualifications

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER -- Dr. Ishii's laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an NIH-funded research team at UT Southwestern studying how the brain regulates metabolism in Alzheimer's disease. Working alongside Drs. Ishii, Fujikawa, and Williams the successful candidate will investigate the role of hypothalamic dysfunction in metabolic and behavioral changes associated with neurodegenerative disease using innovative neuroscience approaches and animal models.

The position offers opportunities to conduct impactful research, publish findings, collaborate with leading investigators, present at scientific meetings and receive mentorship, grant‑writing guidance, and career development support in highly collaborative research environment.

We seek a highly motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious scientist who is eager to contribute to a multidisciplinary research program focused on neuroscience, metabolism and neurodegenerative disease. The ideal candidate will be self‑directed, possess strong analytical and comunication skills, and be committed to scientific excellence and professional growth.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph. D, MD/Ph. D., or MD. with substantial research experience; candidates nearing completion of their doctoral degree are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
