Job description

Position Summary:

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in proteomics in the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). The lab’s research centers on development and application of mass spectrometry-based proteomics and other molecular techniques to study cancer, neurodegeneration and other diseases.


Position Key Accountabilities:

In this role, you will engage in cutting-edge translational research, designing and executing biological experiments and developing innovative proteomic approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying key protein networks and disease-associated processes.You will employ integrated strategies combining proteomics with AI-driven systems biology to advance ongoing research programs and help shape new scientific directions. As an active member of the research team, you will contribute to driving discovery and supporting the progression of collaborative projects.


We seek highly motivated, intellectually curious, and collaborative individuals who are also capable of working independently within a mentored, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will perform laboratory investigations, design and optimize experimental protocols, conduct LC–MS/MS and related molecular analyses, process and interpret complex datasets, and prepare rigorous manuscripts and technical protocols. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
