Washington University in St. Louis’s Roberta Faccio Lab seeks a Ph.D.-level candidate to assist in grant preparation, manuscript preparation, and experimental design.
The role emphasizes ethical conduct, good laboratory practice, and meticulous documentation, with ownership of data and materials by the University. The position involves collaboration with mentors and跨-disciplinary teams to advance studies on bone–immune interactions, neutrophil and dendritic cell activity, and osteoclast function
Location: SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110
The Roberta Faccio Lab studies the bone–immune system interaction, focusing on molecules that regulate immune cell activation and osteoclast function in diseases like inflammatory arthritis and breast cancer bone metastasis. The lab investigates the osteo‑immune cross‑talk that occurs in pathological conditions where both bone and immune systems are activated, such as inflammatory arthritis and breast cancer bone metastasis. The lab’s central goal is to identify common molecular targets that can modulate immune cell activation (e.g., neutrophils, dendritic cells, myeloid‑derived suppressor cells) and osteoclast activity (bone‑resorbing cells).
