JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology at The Pennsylvania State University. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will focus on developing robust prime editing systems for precise genome engineering in plants. The incumbent will evaluate various existing and novel approaches to improve the efficiency and application of prime editing in dicot and monocot plants. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will also prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication in refereed journals.
This is a term position funded for one year from date of hire with a good possibility of re-funding.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must have a PhD in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics or related fields and are skillful in molecular biology and plant transformation techniques. Prior experience in CRISPR/Cas genome editing in plants is preferred.
