Job Description Overview
- This role supports the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process under the No Surprises Act by leveraging automation tools and data to ensure accurate, efficient filing of payment disputes.
- As an Automation Specialist, you will work closely with our RPA (Robotic Process Automation) team to manage high-volume workflows, identify errors or gaps in processes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our automation-driven dispute resolution operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, solving problems independently, and making fast-paced, detail-oriented contributions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas) to analyze, verify, and prepare data for dispute filings.
- Work alongside the RPA team to monitor and refine automated workflows.
- Audit large volumes of data with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify inefficiencies or breakdowns in automated processes and collaborate to develop and implement solutions.
- Work with department leadership to optimize the use of automation across daily operations.
- Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records of issues, resolutions, and process updates to support compliance and continuity
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, cross-referencing datasets).
- Ability to analyze data sets and spot small but critical discrepancies.
- Strong independent working skills; must be proactive, self-directed, and reliable.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Comfortable adapting to frequent process changes and evolving system needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in a high-volume setting.
- Ability to work with confidential information and demonstrate HIPAA compliance.
- Professional, ethical, and collaborative mindset.

- This is a remote position, depending on several factors, to include production ability, employee preference, and training status.
