The project investigates the neuronal membrane proteasome and its role in sensory neuron signaling, somatosensation, and pain.

The fellow will combine rodent somatosensory behavior with biochemical and microscopy techniques to address these questions. Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• M.D. or PhD required.
• PhD in neuroscience or a related discipline requested.
• Strong background in rodent somatosensory behavior, biochemical methods, and microscopy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate the role of the neuronal membrane proteasome (NMP) in sensory neuron signaling, somatosensation and pain.
• Integrate rodent somatosensory behavioral studies with biochemical and microscopy approaches.
• Develop experiments, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute to a collaborative research environment.
