Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D., MD/Ph.D., or MD with substantial research experience; applicants near degree completion welcomed.
• Experience with animal research, especially rodent models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and English proficiency for research and visa compliance.
• Research experience in neuroscience, metabolism, endocrinology or related biomedical field.
• Experience with behavioral, metabolic, molecular, cell or neurophysiological techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative research team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate how hypothalamic dysfunction affects metabolism in neurodegenerative disease.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative neuroscience studies.
• Publish findings, present at scientific meetings, and participate in career development activities.
• Seek mentorship and grant-writing guidance to support ongoing research efforts.
• Describe relevance of results and future directions in application materials.
