Job summary

The Baylor College of Medicine laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral fellow to perform NIH-funded R01 research. The work focuses on molecular and cellular events leading to vascular calcification in chronic kidney disease, using mouse CKD models and multi-omics analyses.

The successful candidate will keep abreast of cutting-edge literature, design experimental approaches, and contribute to data analysis and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
• No experience required.
• Strong background in molecular biology, genomics, and bioinformatics.
• Experience with cardiovascular and/or kidney diseases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs experiments and performs data analysis.
• Conducts nephrectomy surgery to create mouse CKD.
• Works on high-throughput data analysis including single-cell sequencing, ChIP-Seq, and proteomics.
• Performs molecular assays such as RT-PCR, genotyping, ChIP, and Western blotting.
• Maintains mouse colonies and conducts primary cell isolation and culture.
• Collects, analyzes and documents experimental results.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
