• Analyze experimental data and interpret results to write reports and summaries of findings, including grant preparation and presentations, and co-author publications when possible.
• Participate in grant applications and manuscript preparation as required.
• Maintain a detailed notebook of all work-related activities.
• Keep up with appropriate literature and research publications to contribute intellectually to the position.
• Train and oversee the lab work of research technicians in the group.
• Develop, modify and improve standard operating procedures where appropriate.
• Monitor laboratory budgets when applicable.
