Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Cardiometabolic Renal Disease Research (CRMDR) Department at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. The main responsibility is to develop and validate human in vitro CKD models to uncover mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities.

The position is a three-year fellowship with potential extension, offering a base salary of $80,000/year, discretionary bonus, relocation support, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Biology, Pharmacology or related discipline, preference of ≤3 years postdoctoral experience.
• Experience performing qPCR and gene expression analysis.
• Experience with protein-based assays (western blotting, ELISA, MSD).
• Experience with fluorescence microscopy and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.
• Experience with genetic perturbation approaches including siRNA, CRISPR, lentiviral transduction or overexpression systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research projects.
• Collaborate with researchers within and outside Boehringer Ingelheim.
• Communicate and defend work clearly in writing and orally.
• Publish first-author manuscripts and/or patent novel technologies.
• Maintain records per SOPs and safety policies.
