Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT seeks an Executive Director, Computational Biology – CRM Diseases to lead strategies for kidney research and collaborate across CRM. The role reports to the Global CRM head and partners with Research, Experimental Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacology.

Qualifications

• PhD with 12+ years postdoctoral and drug discovery experience in computational biology or related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of strategic leadership, global team management, and cross-functional influence.
• Experience managing budgets, outsourcing, and cross-site operations.
• Proven track-record of scientific and pharmaceutical accomplishments, preferably in Kidney or CRM indications.
• Expertise in computational target and/or biomarker identification.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences; mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of computational biology strategies for kidney research within CRM.
• Provide scientific leadership from target discovery through clinical proof of concept.
• Collaborate with Therapeutic Area leaders and cross-site teams to align portfolio priorities.
• Represent the CRM computational biology function in partnerships and external engagements.
