The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities invites applications for a post-doctoral position with the Morrison Swine HealthMonitoring Project (MSHMP) team. The role focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, sequence comparison, virus evolution, study design, data management and analysis related to swine disease control.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, and molecular biology.
• Ability to design, analyze, and interpret infectious disease data for swine health.
• Experience with research collaboration and scientific communication.

Responsibilities

• 50% Research and Technical Support in Molecular Epidemiology: conduct analyses on data related to swine disease epidemiology.
• 10% Research Data Management: generate and organize research data for future projects.
• 10% Research Collaboration and Scientific Communication: assist in hypothesis testing, data analysis, and preparation of papers and grants.
• 10% Professional Development and Scientific Engagement: participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences.
• 10% Administrative and Project Coordination: organize meetings and coordinate projects.
• 10% Collaboration and Partnership Development: communicate with collaborators and travel as needed.
