Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Capone Lab, ENVR, to join a multidisciplinary team studying soil-transmitted helminth surveillance. The position supports a five-year CDC-funded project and involves coordinating lab work, field sampling, and data analyses across sites in the southeastern United States.

Qualifications

• Experience with project management and coordinating fieldwork.
• Experience with molecular microbiology methods (nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, dPCR) and data analysis.
• Field sampling experience and ability to coordinate laboratory activities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in mentoring undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. students.

Responsibilities

• Lead a CDC-funded study on STH infection surveillance across sites.
• Coordinate laboratory activities and manage a large, collaborative project.
• Mentor students and contribute to study design and data interpretation.
• Publish findings and develop independent research proposals.
