Johns Hopkins University is looking for a PREP Research Associate involved in the NIST Professional Research Experience Program. The role focuses on developing models of magnetic material behavior for microelectronic applications, with work on frequencies from 1 MHz to 100 GHz.
The aim is to link micromagnetic models to device-scale measurements and ensure proper documentation of results and protocols. Candidates who are U.S. Citizens are preferred as part of the qualifications.
This position is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Professional Research Experience Program (PREP). The PREP program allows NIST staff to collaborate with institutions that are recipients of a PREP award and involves research across various fields. Individuals in this role will conduct technical work supporting the collaboration’s scientific research on the project “Metrology for Integration of New Magnetic Materials.”
Research Title: Metrology for Integration of New Magnetic Materials. Work will entail: Development and evaluation of models of magnetic material behavior in microelectronic applications at frequencies from 1 MHz to 100 GHz, with applications in power electronics and communications.
