Details of Research Project:

Our laboratory focuses on exploring and evaluating the complexity of molecular signaling crosstalk between cells in the kidney. We seek highly motivated and exceptionally creative candidate to lead a cutting-edge research project that aims to examine molecular mechanisms in the glomerulus that result in diabetic and non-diabetic kidney disease progression. The project will focus on exploring the key functional mechanisms of glomerular cell function and to validate the complex relationship between glomerular endothelial cells and podocytes. The project will also examine the genetic susceptibility to developing progressive kidney disease and applying gene editing tools for potential curative therapies.

Compensation Statement:

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $74,69200 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
