Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance NIH-funded projects in pediatric research. The successful candidate will work under the Principal Investigator, employing animal models, cell biology techniques, and bioinformatics analyses to study mucosal immunology and related diseases.

Strong experimental skills, experience with data analysis, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in a related field.
• Expertise in animal handling and mouse colony maintenance.
• Ability to independently perform routine laboratory work.
• Experience with R or other skills for analyzing NGS datasets.

Responsibilities

• Perform animal-related work including breeding, genotyping, colony maintenance, and animal models.
• Conduct cellular and molecular biology experiments (cell culture, Western blotting, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry).
• Prepare samples for next-generation sequencing (NGS).
• Collaborate on NIH-funded projects and assist the PI with data analysis and manuscript preparation.
