Job summary

The University of Illinois Chicago’s Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in mucosal immunology and microbiome-immune interactions. The successful candidate will work on NIH-funded projects within a dynamic lab focusing on inflammatory diseases and translational research.

We seek a highly motivated scientist with strong experimental skills, experience in animal models, and an interest in bioinformatics analysis using R.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in a related field.
• Expertise in animal handling and mouse colony maintenance.
• Ability to independently perform routine laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Breed, maintain, and use animal models for experiments.
• Conduct cellular and molecular biology experiments (culture, Western blot, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry).
• Prepare samples for next-generation sequencing (NGS).
• Support principal investigator with data analysis and manuscript preparation.
