Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in the Microbiology and Immunology department, invites applications for a Post-Doc Research Associate in Sharma Lab in Chapel Hill, NC. This is a full-time, temporary appointment to support mucosal immunity research.

The successful candidate will use genetic and molecular biology approaches to investigate immunology and IBD and will train and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.

Qualifications

  • PhD in biological sciences required.
  • Experience working with bacteria and mouse handling.
  • Experience with flow cytometry and mouse models of IBD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The postdoctoral researcher will use genetic and molecular biology approaches to study the genetic and immunological basis of mucosal immunity and inflammatory bowel diseases, and will train and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
