The Louai Labanieh Lab at Mount Sinai seeks postdocs to develop biotechnology platforms for precise in vivo delivery of genetic cargo and regulation of immune cell function. The work targets safer, more effective cell therapies (CAR-T) and gene therapies with translational potential in cancer and beyond.

Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD in bioengineering, immunology, cellular/molecular biology, cancer biology, or related field, with wet-lab experience.

Qualificações

• PhD/MD in bioengineering, immunology, cellular/molecular biology, cancer biology, or related field.
• Wet-lab experience is essential for success in this role.
• Experience in cell engineering, synthetic biology, T cell biology, or protein engineering is desirable but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead independent research projects, including hypothesis development, experimental design, execution, and data interpretation.
• Design and engineer novel synthetic constructs to precisely control immune cell function.
• Analyze, visualize, and interpret data.
• Document and maintain raw data, analyzed data, constructs, and protocols; share with team when needed.
• Present findings at scientific conferences and contribute to manuscripts and grant proposals.
• Train and mentor junior lab members.
• Collaborate effectively with the research team.
