Job summary

The Zamarin Laboratory at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai conducts research on tumor-immune system interactions and novel immunotherapies for cancer. We focus on gynecologic cancers and employ human biospecimens, animal models, and immunotherapy strategies including oncolytic viruses and checkpoint blockade.

We seek a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with a PhD and 1–2 years of research experience to join our team in New York.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in science or related field.
• 1-2 years of research experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process human biospecimens, including live tissue dissociation and cryopreservation; extract nucleic acids and perform data analysis.
• Conduct mouse experiments using genetic tumor models, implant tumor cells, administer therapies, and analyze tumor tissues by microscopy imaging, flow cytometry, and single-cell RNA sequencing.
• Experience with cloning and familiarity with data languages (R or Python) is a strong plus.
